Post Uses Doubles to Upend Bentley 6-3

WALTHAM, Mass. – Post University rallied in each doubles match and used that advantage to upend Bentley 6-3 in a non-conference women's tennis match Thursday afternoon. It snapped a two match winning streak for the Falcons.

The Eagles rallied from 7-6 down in each doubles match to take a 3-0 advantage into singles play. The No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches were both decided in a tiebreak, with the visitors winning 9-8 (7-4) and 9-8 (7-5) respectively in those matches.

In singles, senior Brittani Hetyei (Vernon, N.J./Vernon) continued her strong play with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout in the No. 3 match, improving her singles record to 6-1 on the season. Bentley's other two wins came from Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) and Susan Stowe (Hebron, Conn./RHAM). Fabianski was a 6-4, 6-3 winner in the No. 5 match, and Stowe took a 6-1, 6-3 win in the No. 6 match.

The Falcons (5-3, 5-2 NE-10) are back on the courts on Saturday when they visit Saint Rose to begin a weekend trip through upstate New York.
