Adelphi Tops Women's Tennis 8-1

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley women's tennis team came away with a split of its weekend matches after Adelphi came away with an 8-1 victory over the Falcons on Sunday afternoon.

The Panthers, now 3-1 on the season, swept the doubles matches, and took the No. 2-No. 6 singles matches.

Junior Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) won the No. 1 singles match for Bentley. She rallied past Rebecca Fakas after she dropped the first set, and emerged with a 0-6, 7-6, 11-9 victory. Junior Rachel Hui (Hong Kong) went to three sets in the No. 2 match with Elizabeth Kallenberg, but suffered her first singles defeat of the season, 7-5. 4-6, 10-5.

The defeat dropped Bentley's records to 5-2 overall and 3-2 NE10 after they won on Saturday over New Haven at home 7-2. They'll look to bounce back on Tuesday afternoon when they host Southern New Hampshire for a 3:00 pm match.
