Springfield, Mass. – Bentley women's tennis closed out its fall season with a 6-1 victory over NE10 rival AIC on Wednesday.

The Falcons won the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches to claim the doubles point, then won five of six in singles to secure the 6-1 victory.

The No. 1 doubles team of Hannah Fabianski (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) and Katie Tynan (West Barnstable, Mass./Barnstable) defeated Meri Jimeno and Sophie Roberge 6-3, while in the No. 3 match Cindy Luo (Stamford, Conn./Stamford) and Morgan Kreiss (Northborough, Mass./Algonquin) blanked Mireya Ortega and Alice Calabrese 6-0.

In singles, sophomore Evann Welty (Wayzata, Minn./Mound Westonka) was Bentley's top winner with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Cecilla Salazar in No. 2. Tynan claimed her second win of the day by defeating Roberge in No. 3, 6-1, 6-1. Kreiss also picked up her second win of the day by beating Taylor Pankewicz 6-3, 6-3 in No. 4. Freshman Courtney Flynn (Norwell, Mass./Norwell) defeated Ortega 6-1, 6-1 in No. 5.

Bentley will now be off until the spring season when they reconvene in March.
