WORCESTER, Mass. – The Bentley women's tennis team lost its first match of the season, 6-1, at Assumption, Saturday afternoon.
Freshman
Zoe Sbarra-Vaughan earned Bentley's lone point. Competing on the No. 6 singles court, Sbarra-Vaughan narrowly outlasted her counterpart. The new Falcon dropped the first set, 6-4, but stormed back to win the second set, 6-2. She took the decisive set by a score of 10-8.
Two other Falcons competed into three sets in singles matches.
Isabella Kaldy narrowly lost on the No. 4 court, and
Julie Madden came up just short on the No. 5 court.
Bentley next takes on Adelphi, Sept. 21, in Garen City, N.Y.
