PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y – Riley Piromalli allowed one earned run through a seven-inning complete game effort, but the #4 seed Bentley softball team lost its first game of the NCAA East Regional against #5 seed St. Thomas Aquinas, 2-0, Thursday afternoon.

Piromalli allowed six hits, two walks, and struck out three. She holds a 2.61 ERA through 32 games this season.

Jess Morrison accounted for Bentley's only hit – a leadoff double in the fourth inning.

Next up Bentley takes on D'Youville in the double-elimination weekend tournament. That game is slated for Saturday, May 10. Game time TBD.
