Kevin Loftus is the Associate Athletics Director for External Operations at Bentley University and has been a member of the Bentley community since 1994.

He provides strategic leadership for the department’s external operations, overseeing athletic communications, marketing, and ticketing while driving revenue growth through fundraising initiatives, corporate partnerships, and alumni engagement.

Loftus' efforts led to record-setting record revenue in sponsorships and ticket sales during the 2025-26 academic year.

Working closely with the Director of Athletics, Loftus plays a central role in advancing the department’s brand, expanding its external reach, and generating meaningful financial support for Bentley Athletics. His leadership integrates fan engagement strategies with comprehensive development efforts to strengthen donor pipelines and position the department for long-term success.

He has played a key role in expanding corporate partnerships, strengthening alumni engagement, and leveraging external operations to increase attendance and generate meaningful revenue growth for Bentley Athletics.

Loftus serves as the sport administrator for baseball, men’s basketball, football, field hockey, and men’s and women’s swimming and diving, providing strategic oversight and leadership to support competitive success, operational efficiency, and the overall student-athlete experience. He also oversees ticketing strategy and operations for high-profile programs such as hockey, football, and basketball, with a focus on enhancing the fan experience and supporting overall engagement.

Throughout his tenure, Loftus has played a key role in shaping departmental strategy, strengthening cross-campus collaboration, and building meaningful connections within the Waltham community. As a longtime resident, he has cultivated strong relationships with local organizations, community groups, and civic leaders, helping to enhance Bentley Athletics’ presence and impact beyond campus. These partnerships have supported community engagement initiatives, enriched the student-athlete experience, and strengthened the department’s ability to connect with external stakeholders.

From 2012 to 2020, Loftus oversaw the department’s operating budget and the administration of student-athlete financial aid, while also collaborating with the Admissions department to align recruiting strategies with institutional goals. During this time, he served as Bentley’s representative at Northeast-10 Conference meetings and NCAA annual conventions, participating in governance discussions and voting on behalf of the institution.

He has also remained deeply involved in game scheduling and the strategic use of athletic facilities, ensuring optimal resource allocation and program support.

He served on senior leadership committees including the Athletic Safety Committee (2017–2018), working in partnership with Bentley University Police to enhance event and campus safety, and the Bentley Arena Sponsorship Committee (2017–2018), helping drive external revenue through corporate partnerships and alumni engagement.

In addition to his administrative leadership, Loftus served as an assistant baseball coach at Bentley for nearly three decades (1994–2022), playing a significant role in the development of the program and mentoring generations of student-athletes.

Earlier in his career, Loftus worked as a Network Technician/Network Analyst at Bentley from 1996 to 2000.

A standout student-athlete at UMass Lowell, Loftus earned Third Team Division II All-America honors and was named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Year in 1993. He went on to sign a professional contract with the Nashua Hawks of the Independent League in 1995. In recognition of his playing career, he was inducted into the Intercity League Hall of Fame in November 2013.

Loftus holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UMass Lowell (1993) and earned his MBA from Bentley University in 2009 with a concentration in Management. He resides in Waltham, Massachusetts, with his wife, Carol Ann, and their sons, Dylan and T.J.
