WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley women's tennis team ended its
fall season with a perfect 5-0 record after defeating New Haven 9-0
on Thursday afternoon in a Northeast-10 match.
The Falcons lost just eight games in the entire match. They won
both doubles matches played 8-0. In the top-flight, sophomores
Rachael
Litton (Burlington, Ontario/Nelson) and Paulina
Sotomayor (San Antonio, Texas/Ronald Reagan) teamed to
defeat Gabby Fuentes and Daniela Roma. In the second flight, junior
Kara Murphy
(Worcester, Pa./Methacton) and senior Aimee Tetu
(Brunswick, Maine/Brunswick) topped Christina Oiler and
Nan Sirhorachai.
Litton, senior Cheryl
Martin (Pittsfield, Mass./St. Joseph Central) and
junior Brittany
Harbert (Boxford, Mass./Masconomet) all won in singles
without dropping a game.
The Falcons will head into the spring season with a record of
5-0 overall and 5-0 in the NE-10. New Haven finishes the fall at
1-7 overall and 0-7 in the NE-10.
