Women's Lacrosse Falls at No. 9 Le Moyne, 17-7

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 9 ranked Le Moyne improved to 11-4 overall and 8-3 in the Northeast-10 with a 17-7 victory over Bentley on Saturday.

Sophomore Sarah Hutchings scored five goals to lead the Dolphins attack, while four other players scored two goals.

For Bentley, graduate student Cara McCarthy (Salem, N.H/Central Catholic) and sophomore Maeve Johnson (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) each had four points. McCarthy had three goals, her 6th hat trick of the season, and one assist. Johnson had two goals and two assists for her fifth game this season with at least four points.

McCarthy and Johnson have identical scoring lines of 27 goals and 11 assists through 13 games this season.

On the defensive side, senior Christine Fish (Slingerlands, N.Y./Guilderland) had four caused turnovers and four ground balls.

Bentley (6-7, 5-6 NE10) now has two games left in the regular season and both have playoff implications. They visit Saint Anselm (5-5 NE10) on Wednesday night and host New Haven (6-5 NE10) next Saturday.
