PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Bentley was defeated by Pace 17-6 in the semifinals of the Northeast 10 Women's Lacrosse Championship on Wednesday night.
Natalia Dutkewych and
Callie Burchill each had two goals for the #6 seed Falcons.
Pace, the #2 seed, jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter before a goal by Dutkewych broke the run.
Ava Mule had a goal in the second quarter for the Falcons but they faced a 12-2 deficit at halftime.
The second half was much tighter at 5-4 for Pace and the teams tied 2-2 in the third quarter.
Burchill and
Sophia Pope had the Bentley goals at the 11:47 and 1:31 marks of the third frame.
In the fourth quarter Burchill netted her second of the game 1:58 into the quarter and Dutkewych had her second of the night at the 4:59 mark.
The Setters, who won their 10
th straight game, advance to the NE10 finals on Saturday against Adelphi.
