MANCHESTER, N.H. – No. 6 nationally ranked Southern New Hampshire improved to 11-2 on the season with a 4-1 victory over Bentley on Saturday.
The Falcons fell to 7-4-2 overall and 4-3 in NE10 matches. With two conference matches left in the regular season they have 12 points and will battle it out for the right to host a playoff match.
The Penmen got on the board in the 4
th minute on a goal by Iago Perez, his 8
th of the season. Philipp Hermann then converted a penalty kick in the 17
th minute for a 2-0 lead.
Hermann notched his second goal of the night in the 55
th minute.
With just 14 seconds remaining on the clock, Falcons freshman
David Rumble notched his first NCAA goal.
Lucas Monteiro had the assist for his first NCAA point.
Bentley will next play a non-conference game at Assumption on Wednesday before they return home to face Franklin Pierce on Nov. 2.
