Eaton & Picard Recognized as Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's Nelson Eaton (Groton, Vt./St. Johnsbury Acad.) and Timothy Picard (Dracut/Lowell Catholic HS) have been recognized as Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) for their excellence on the course and in the classroom.

To be eligible, an individual must be of sophomore status or higher, have participated in at least 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds with a stroke average under 78.0 and maintained a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.2.

Eaton, an All-America Scholar for the second time, had a 75.3 stroke average during the fall portion of the schedule. A rising senior, he tied for 18th in the Northeast-10 Championships before missing the spring season due to injury.

Picard, who played in every match during his final collegiate season, had a 75.5 stroke average and was Bentley's top finisher in the Northeast-10 Championships last fall, placing tenth with a 75-74-71-220.

Picard previously was selected All-Northeast-10 and PING Division II All-East Region. Eaton was voted to the Academic All-Northeast-10 team.

Picard, a May graduate, majored in finance and  Eaton is majoring in economics-finance.
