CONCORD, N.H. – Bentley University senior
Evan Desjardins (Salem, N.H./Salem HS) finished day one of Southern New Hampshire's Granite State Opener in the top ten after shooting one-under-par for 36 holes Monday at the Beaver Meadow Golf Club.
Desjardins will start Tuesday's final round in ninth place following a 71-72-143. He's just two strokes out of the top five and trails co-leaders Andrew Suprenant (Southern New Hampshire) and Nerrah Shetty (Merrimack) by seven strokes.
Bentley's number two man is senior
Chris Huban (Cohoes, N.Y./Albany Academy), who is tied for 47
th following a 76-78-154.
Junior
Robbie Sluga (Stamford, Conn./St. Joseph HS) turned in a second-round 73, an improvement of 12 strokes over his opening round.
As a team, Bentley posted a 303-302-605 Monday and will enter the final round in 12
th place amongst 14 teams. At the top of the team leaderboard is Southern New Hampshire (291-282-573) with a four-stroke lead over second-place Merrimack.
