Evan Desjardins (Salem, N.H./Salem HS) was the top golfer for the Bentley University Falcons Monday during the first day of the Penmen Fall Invitational, hosted by Southern New Hampshire University at the Montcalm Golf Club.

Desjardins posted a three-over-par 75, good for a tie for 13
th in a field of 45, with his round including 15 pars and three bogeys.

Bentley's number two golfer was senior
Bennett Berg (Portland, Maine/Portland HS), who shot a 79 to tie for 30
th place. He birdied the par-four 10
th hole.

As a team, Bentley struggled to a 317, last amongst the eight teams.

At the top of the leaderboard are the Assumption University A team, with a six-stroke lead over SNHU, and Assumption's Kyle Puchol, with a three-under 69. He'll enter Tuesday's final round with a one-stroke lead on teammate Chris Stilwell.
