ENFIELD, N.H. – Following a 15-stroke improvement from its first day score, the Bentley University men's golf team climbed from eighth place to a fourth-place tie in Southern New Hampshire's Penmen Invitational, which concluded Tuesday at the Montcalm Golf Club.

The Falcons had the tournament's second-best day two score, at 302, with senior
Evan Desjardins (Salem, N.H./Salem HS), classmate
Chris Huban (Cohoes, N.Y./Albany Academy) and sophomore
Andrew teDuits (Charlestown/Boston College HS) a combined four-over. Desjardins had one birdie and two bogeys, and Huban amassed six birds. teDuits' round included four birdies.

For the tournament, Desjardins tied for eighth with a 75-73-148. Huban tied for 21
st (81-73-154) and teDuits' second-day improvement lifted him to a tie for 27
th (83-74-157).

Bentley's team score of 317-302-619 left the Falcons behind team champion Southern New Hampshire (297-297-594), Assumption University (291-304-595) and Dominican (N.Y.) University (303-308-611). Saint Anselm College and Franklin Pierce University both matched the Falcons' 619.

The tournament medalist was Dominican's Alexander Lundvall with a four-under 140.

Bentley's next action will be the Northeast-10 Conference Championships Oct. 7-8.
