WALTHAM, Mass. – One week after competing in the NCAA Championship Quarterfinals for the third consecutive year, the Bentley volleyball team placed four student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

Elizabeth Blinn and
Erica Borzone, along with sophomore standouts
Sophia Poehlein and
Tory Vitko, earned the academic distinction. In order to qualify, student-athletes must be a key contributor athletically while maintaining a minimum 3.50 GPA.
Blinn and Borzone were both Academic All-District recipients in 2024.
Blinn is the first Falcon in program history to be named to an All-America Team, as she earned All-America Third Team from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) this season. Poehlein and Vitko earned AVCA All-America Honorable Mention in 2025.
That trio also earned All-Northeast 10 First Team this season. Blinn was named the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year, as she led the nation in blocks per set (1.67). Among all three NCAA divisions, Blinn ranked fourth in blocks per set. Vitko was named the NE10 Setter of the Year during her sophomore campaign.
Both Blinn an Vitko are on the final ballot for the prestigious Academic All-American award. The national results won't be announced until Jan. 13.
The Falcons (27-5) had a historic season in 2025, winning their third consecutive NCAA East Region title. Bentley went undefeated in NE10 games, winning both the NE10 Regular Season and NE10 Tournament titles. The Falcons were also undefeated against regional opponents in 2025.
