WALTHAM, Mass. –
Jackson Tinsley was named the Northeast 10 Conference men's lacrosse Goalie of the Week on Monday after helping the Falcons to a win in their season opener against nationally ranked Mercy.
Tinsley was also named to the USILA's Division II Team of the Week on Feb. 26.
Tinsley made a career-high 16 saves as Bentley went on the road and defeated #12 Mercy 11-5 on Sunday. His save percentage of 76.2 was just short of his career high in a single-game, 77.8 percent last season against Assumption.
Tinsley, a senior and a team captain this season, helped the Falcons shutout Mercy for the final 16 minutes as they pulled away for the win.
This is the first time in his career that he has been named Goalie of the Week.
The Falcons moved up to #12 in this week's USILA rankings after the win, up two spots from last week. They will next be in action on March 5 against Bridgeport for their home opener.
