CALDWELL, N.J. –
Hailey Feiler went 4-6 in Bentley's doubleheader split at Caldwell on Sunday as the Falcons completed their six-game swing through New York and New Jersey.
Bentley won the first game over Caldwell 5-4 but dropped the second contest 11-7.
They went 3-3 this weekend with doubleheader splits at Felician, Adelphi and Caldwell.
In the game one win,
Maddie Baker broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the 7
th with a double to left field to score
Bella Burke.
Riley Piromalli then retired the side in order to secure the win. Piromalli struck out six to earn her fourth win of the season. She threw her seventh complete game.
Feiler hit a two run double in the second inning to score
Jess Morrison and
Kim Saunders to give Bentley a 2-1 lead.
Caldwell went ahead 4-2 but the Falcons tied it in the top of the 5
th with two runs. That led to Baker's go-ahead double in the 7
th inning.
In the second game, Feiler,
Jordan Krause and Baker all had multiple hits. Krause went 2-4 with three RBI and Baker 3-4 with two RBI.
Baker hit a two run homer in the 1
st inning and Krause blasted a three run homer in the 5
th inning.
Bentley (7-9) will now prepare for its home opener on Thursday against Bridgeport.
