WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley Director of Athletics
Vaughn Williams is excited to announce that Ashley Holdridge is Bentley's new head coach for women's lacrosse. Holdridge takes over an elite program in the region. The Falcons have achieved a top-25 national ranking in each of the past 11 seasons.
"We are thrilled to welcome Coach H to Bentley," said Williams. "She is one the brightest up-and-coming coaches in the region who will definitely help us attain our goals moving forward."
Holdridge spent the previous three seasons (2023-25) as the head coach at Buffalo State (NCAA D-III). She led the 2025 Bengals to a 12-7 record, marking the program's most wins since 2012.
"I am so grateful for the opportunity to be named the women's lacrosse head coach at Bentley University," said Holdridge. "I want to thank
Vaughn Williams and the hiring committee for the opportunity. The Bentley community has been so welcoming during this process. I look forward to working with the talented student athletes – their skill and ambition will lead to amazing results."
Prior to her time at Buffalo State, Holdridge was the head coach at SUNY Morrisville for two seasons (2021-22). She led the Mustangs to the 2021 North Eastern Athletic Conference title and an automatic bid to the NCAA D-III Championship.
Holdridge was a four-year letter winner at Siena College, where she was a goalie. After completing her undergraduate studies in psychology (with several minors), Holdridge earned her Master's in Education from St. Bonaventure.
Bentley has reached double-digit wins for three consecutive seasons. That stretch includes an NCAA D-II Championship berth in 2024. The Falcons also saw
Maeve Johnson '25 earn Northeast-10 Attacker of the Year in consecutive seasons (2024 & 2025) while becoming Bentley's all-time leading scorer.
