RINDGE, N.H. – Ella Bunovsky totaled six hits and
Carly DiMento homered, but the Bentley softball team lost two games at Franklin Pierce Saturday afternoon.

Bentley 8, Franklin Pierce 9
Carly DiMento drove in four runs, and
Ella Bunovsky went 4-for-4 at the plate, but the Bentley softball team came up just short in the first game at Franklin Pierce, 9-8.
Bunovsky led off the game by hitting a triple, and DiMento followed by clubbing her first home run of the season. The Falcons took a 3-0 lead in the second inning when DiMento earned a bases-loaded walk.
The Ravens rallied for four runs in the fourth inning to take a 4-3 lead, and they added two more runs in the fifth.
Bentley entered the sixth inning in a 6-3 deficit, but the Falcons rallied for three runs to tie the game.
Hailey Feiler and
Bella Burke led off with consecutive walks, and Bunovsky singled to load the bases. DiMento reached base on an error that allowed Feiler to score, and a groundout by
Maddie Baker plated Burke. Two batters later,
Bailey DeLeire hit an RBI single to bring in Bunovsky for the Falcons' sixth run.
The 6-6 tie was short lived. Franklin Pierce posted three runs in the home half of the sixth.
Bentley made a strong bid to at least tie the game in the top of the seventh.
Bella Burke and Bunovsky hit consecutive singles, and both Falcons came in to score on a double by
Michelle Diaz. However, Diaz was left stranded on base to end the game.

Ella Bunovsky and
Michelle Diaz collected two hits each, but the Falcons lost Saturday's second game, 11-3, in six innings.
Bentley's first hit of the game was a double by
Becca Harris in the third inning.
Bella Burke reached on a fielder's choice, and Bunovsky followed with a single to load the bases. However, all three runners were stranded on base.
The Falcons got on the board in the fifth inning. Diaz led off with a single, and she eventually came in to score on an RBI groundout by
Bailey DeLeire.
Hailey Feiler followed with an RBI single that plated
Maddie Baker.
In the fifth inning, Baker lifted a sacrifice fly that scored Bunovsky.
The Falcons make their 2026 home debut next week against Saint Michael's, March 28-29.
