WALTHAM, Mass. – Three Falcons totaled four hits each between the Bentley softball team's doubleheader wins against Saint Michael's Sunday afternoon.
Jess Morrison,
Maddie Baker, and
Bella Burke combined for 12 hits and seven runs as the Falcons locked in a series win against the Purple Knights.

Bentley 10, Saint Michael's 2 (5 inn.)
Ella Bunovsky went 3-for-3 in the leadoff spot, and
Jess Morrison hit 3-for-4 right behind Bunovsky in the lineup as Bentley run-ruled the Purple Knights in the first game Sunday.
Bella Burke went 2-for-3 while driving in three runs.
Taylor Zajac pitched all five innings for the Falcons, earning her fourth win of the season after yielding just six hits and no walks.
Bentley's offense asserted itself early, plating two runs in the first. Bunovsky and Morrison led off with consecutive singles, and the pair both came in to score on a single wild pitch.
Hailey Feiler led off the second inning by drawing a walk, and she came in to score when Burke ripped a triple. Burke wasn't on third base, as Bunovsky brought her home with an infield hit. Bunovsky moved up to third base when Morrison hit a double, and both runners came home when Baker clubbed a double that gave Bentley a 6-0 lead.
The Falcons added three more runs in the third inning, two of which were driven by Burke's double.
Baker ended the game in the bottom of the fifth inning when she hit another double that scored Morrison.

Bentley 8, Saint Michael's 2
Maddie Baker went 2-for-2 with two RBI, and
Bella Burke hit 2-for-3 to lead Bentley to its third win of the series. Maddie Pitckett pitched a complete game for the Falcons, and she struck out five while surrendering only five hits and two walks.
The Purple Knights got to Pickett by scoring two runs in the first inning, but the sophomore pitcher settled down after that. She retired Saint Michael's in order in three different innings.
The Falcons promptly tied the game, 2-2, in the bottom of the first inning.
Michelle Diaz hit a double that scored Bunovsky, and then Diaz eventually came in to score on a sacrifice by Callahan.
The Falcons ran away with the game by plating four runs in the fourth inning.
Hailey Feiler drew a leadoff walk, and Burke reached base with a single. With two runners, Morrison delivered a two-run single. She got herself into scoring position by stealing second base, and Diaz drove Morrison home with a base hit. Baker followed by hitting a double that allowed Diaz to touch home plate for a 6-2 lead.
Bentley has a quick turnaround when it hosts Assumption Tuesday, March 31, at 2:30 p.m.
