CANDIA, N.H. – The Bentley women's golf team won the Saint Anselm Spring Invitational in dramatic fashion Thursday, topping second-place Franklin Pierce by just one stroke.
Freshman
Isabel Gonzalez won the event by a wide margin, shooting 74-73-147 between the two rounds. She finished 12 strokes ahead of the second-place golfer.
As a team, Bentley shot 342-321-663. The Falcons improved their second round score by an astounding 21 strokes. On the other hand, Franklin Pierce was 10 strokes worse in its second round compared to its first round.
Alexandra Kwon tied for sixth overall by shooting 87-81-168. Her lone birdie for the event was the 10
th hole (par 5) in the second round.
Gaby Becker placed eighth with a score of 88-81-169. Like Kwon, Becker made birdie on the 10
th hole in the second round. Â Â
Bentley's next competition is the Panther Battle at the Bay hosted by Adelphi at The Club at Middle Bay, April 13-14.Â
