DeMartinis III breaks Bentley’s records for single season and career home runs in sweep of Adelphi

WALTHAM, Mass. – Stan DeMartinis III broke Bentley's single season and career home run records in the team's doubleheader sweep of Adelphi on Friday. The Falcons also notched their 34th win of the season to break the school record for wins set in 2025.
 
Game 2: Bentley 7, Adelphi 3
In the bottom of the sixth, DeMartinis homered to right field for his 20th of the season and 44th of his career. That broke the records previously held by head coach Mike Hill.

The solo shot gave Bentley a 6-3 cushion and they went on to complete the sweep with a 7-3 win.

DeMartinis III had an RBI single in the first and Brendan Sencaj hit a sac fly to give Bentley a 2-1 lead.

In the bottom of the second, Nick Pappas ripped a two-run double to make it 4-1. Pappas finished the doubleheader 7-10 with six RBI.

Zach Eigenbrod pitched 5.2 innings for his seventh win of the season and Keegan Antelman pitched the final 1.1 innings.

 
Game 1: Bentley 18, Adelphi 6
The Falcons demolished Adelphi's pitching to the tune of 18 runs on 20 hits in the game one victory. Pappas went 5-6 with four RBI.

It started early in the first inning with RBI hits by Pappas and Curt Heath for a 2-0 lead. In the third inning, Sencaj smashed his 13th homer of the season for a 5-0 lead. Three batters later, catcher Tommy Goonan launched his third homer of the year to make it 8-0.

Later in the inning, Pappas had an RBI single and in the fifth inning DeMartinis III had an RBI double as Bentley led 10-0 after five frames. In the sixth, shortstop Tommy Bolton notched a two-run single.

Starting pitcher Pat Heber went six shutouts innings and fanned seven to improve to 7-0 on the season.
