Senior defensive back who is majoring in economics-finance with a concentration in marketing … is one of two Falcons from the state of Illinois (sophomore receiver Karl Schmidt) … during his first three years, has appeared in 31 of the Falcons’ 33 games … 15 career tackles entering the 2017 season.

2016: Was in on four tackles while playing in all 11 of Bentley’s games … two tackles at Saint Anselm Sept. 10 … Bentley’s special teams captain for the season-opener against West Chester.

2015: Appeared in nine games for the Falcons … had three special teams tackles.

2014: Was one of two freshmen to play in every game, a distinction he shared with Matt Iannone … all of his tackles came on special teams … led team with eight tackles on kickoff coverage and tied for team-high honors in tackles by a freshman  … had one tackle in each of the Falcons’ final eight games.

Before Bentley: 2014 graduate of Guilford High School where he was a two-year football team captain (2012, 2013) … first-team All-Northern Illinois Conference junior and senior years … 2013 Academic All-State … received team’s Most Reliable Award as a senior … also played rugby … President of Student Council … National Honor Society … AP Scholar … Illinois State Scholar.

Personal: Age as of Sept. 1: 21 … son of Peter and Jeanne Reitsch … has one brother, Daniel (23) … Bob Reitsch, his great-great uncle, earned All-America honors as a center at Illinois and helped the Fighting Illini to the national championship and Big 10 championship in 1927 … was later offered a pro contract by the legendary George Halas.
