Biography

Graduate running back who is pursuing his MBA with a concentration in finance … majored in corporate finance and accounting as an undergrad … minor was in computer information systems ... outstanding student … before the 2020 season was cancelled, carried the ball 337 times for 1,552 yards and 14 TDs from 2017-19 ... also caught 29 balls for 373 yards and two scores ... played in all 30 games during his first three years in a Bentley uniform ... one of 14 players on this year’s roster from New Jersey.

2020: Although Bentley did not play any games last season, was selected to the CoSIDA Division II Academic All-America first team … previously recognized as a CoSIDA Academic All-District and a semifinalist for the National Football Foundation’s Campbell Trophy … D2ADA Academic Achievement Award for the third time.

2019: Led Bentley in rushing for the third straight year, finishing with 541 net yards and four TD on 96 carries ... averaged 5.6 yards per attempt ... was also second in all-purpose running yards (634 yards) .... Academic All-Northeast-10 for the second straight year ... ninth in NE10 in net rushing yards and sixth in yards per carry ... had a pair of 100-yard rushing games with 131 yards in 19 carries at West Chester Sept. 7 and a career-best 172 in 20 carries Nov. 9 at Franklin Pierce ... scored three touchdowns, all in the second quarter, against the Ravens (1, 7, 6 yards) ... his season production also included six receptions for 93 yards ... was named to the Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll twice (Sept. 9, Nov. 11) ... received D2ADA Academic  Achievement Award for second straight year.

2018: One of three Falcons to earn Academic All-Northeast-10 honors ... was Bentley’s leading rusher for the second straight season, with 537 yards and four TDs in 142 carries ... averaged 53.7 yards per game and 3.8 per carry ... sophomore season also included 17 receptions for 232 yards and one TD ... was one of eight NE10 players to rush for at least 500 yards ... in the rain at Saint Anselm Oct. 27, rushed 32 times for 143 yards ... two TDs and 72 yards vs. Merrimack Sept. 15 ... had 86 yards on 17 carries Sept. 7 at Southern Connecticut ... four catches for 87 yards and a score Oct. 20 vs. Stonehill ... named to the Oct. 29 Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll.

2017: Led Bentley in rushing, gaining 479 yards in 99 carries … that was an average of 4.8 yards per attempt … rushed for six touchdowns … only five of his 99 rushes resulted in losses (totaling just seven yards) … first career 100-yard game was Sept. 30 at Pace when he ran for 109 yards on 19 carries … named the NE10 Rookie of the Week for his efforts against the Setters … 20 carries for 73 yards and two TDs Oct. 14 vs. American International … also caught two passes against the Yellow Jackets … for the season, had six catches for 48 yards.

Before Bentley: 2017 graduate of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School (formerly Bishop Ahr) where he was a three-sport  captain (football, wrestling, baseball) … four-year starter in all three sports … career totals included 2,610 rushing yards with 34 TDs and 391 receiving yards with four TDs through the air … rushed for over 1,000 yards as a junior and over 1,500 as a senior … third-team Non-Public All-State … two-time All-Greater Middlesex Conference and All-Division honoree … team’s MVP in wrestling in both 2016 and 2017 … also earned All-Conference and All-Division accolades in wrestling and baseball … selected for 2016 GMC Sportsmanship Award for character and conduct in all three sports … played in 2017 Snapple Bowl … 2017 GMC Scholar Wrestler … National Football Foundation Bill Denny Scholar-Athlete Scholarship … Mathematics, Science and Spanish national honor societies.
