Biography

Senior defensive back who is majoring in economics-finance … minors in global management and computer science … one of eight seniors on this year’s team from New Jersey.

2019: Played in the season’s first six games and was in on five tackles, including four on kickoff return coverage ... a career-best four of those came Oct. 19 at Stonehill ... also recovered a fumble against the Skyhawks.

2018: Saw action in every game without recording any statistics.

2017: Did not play in any games as a freshman.

Before Bentley: 2017 graduate of Shore Regional where he lettered in football and baseball … football team captain as a senior … helped the Blue Devils to Central Jersey Group 1 state championships in 2014 and 2015 … three-time All-Division, second-team All-Conference and first-team All-State (Group 1) … three-year starter.

Personal: Age as of Sept. 1: 21 … son of Michael and Tracy Pennell … has two younger brothers, Kevin (19) and Jake (14).
