Warrick Dunn is a former NFL Pro Bowl running back, Super Bowl champion, and one of the most respected humanitarian figures in professional sports. His legacy extends far beyond the football field, defined by elite performance, resilience, leadership, and a lifelong commitment to service.

Warrick starred collegiately at Florida State University, where he became one of the most accomplished running backs in school history. Despite his smaller stature, Dunn’s speed, vision, and toughness made him a dynamic offensive weapon and a team leader. He finished his FSU career with over 4,000 rushing yards, was a two-time All-American, and helped lead the Seminoles to a National Championship.

Selected 12th overall in the 1997 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dunn went on to play 12 seasons in the NFL with the Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons. Over his career, he rushed for 10,967 yards, scored 63 total touchdowns, and surpassed 1,000 all-purpose yards in eight seasons. Dunn earned three Pro Bowl selections and was a key contributor to the Buccaneers’ Super Bowl XXXVII championship team.

Known for his durability, consistency, and professionalism, Dunn retired ranked among the NFL’s all-time leading rushers, widely respected by teammates, coaches, and opponents alike.

Warrick Dunn’s most enduring impact may be his work off the field. At the age of 18, Dunn lost his mother, a police officer, who was killed in the line of duty. Inspired by her selflessness and driven by his own experiences, Dunn committed himself to giving back—especially to single-parent families.

In 1997, he founded Warrick Dunn Charities, later launching the signature Homes for the Holidays program. Through this initiative, Dunn has provided more than 200 mortgage-free homes to single parents and families in need across the United States, along with fully furnished homes, down-payment assistance, and financial education.

Dunn has been recognized with numerous honors for his humanitarian efforts, including:
