Senior linebacker who is majoring in economics-finance … shifted to  the defensive side of the ball last season … began his Bentley career as a quarterback and later switched to tight end … two varsity letters.

2014: Saw action in eight games, making a total of six tackles … four of those came on special teams … career-best four tackles Oct. 18 against Southern Connecticut State.

2013: Missed entire season due to an injury.

2012: Saw his only game action of the season in the opener, Aug. 31 against Pace … completed his only pass attempt for 22 yards … played one series and led the Falcons to a touchdown.

Personal: 2012 graduate of Central Catholic High School … named first team All-Conference senior year after passing for 1,335 yards with 11 touchdown passes and 10 rushing TDs … named Central Catholic’s Offensive MVP  and the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award winner … twice named the Boston Globe Player of the Week and once the Boston Herald Player of the Week … won the Morrison MVP award after throwing five TDs in come-from-behind, double OT win over rival Andover in Thanksgiving Day game …was captain of the baseball team and also lettered in basketball … involved in Service Learning Program at Bentley … Economics-Finance Club … Bentley Investment Group … age as of Sept. 1: 21 … son of Sam and Katie McDermott.
