Before Bentley: Graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in 2005 and spent a year of prep school at Brewster Academy ... selected as 2005 St. Mary’s Male Athlete of the Year ... named league and team Most Valuable Player in 2005 and was a league All-Star in 2004 and 2005 ... MVP of the Newburyport Classic ... led Saint Mary's to MIAA state tournament all four years ... also played golf in high school ... earned Boston Globe All-Scholastic honors in golf in 2003 ... won state golf championship in 2005 ... was a four-time league All-Star and two-year captain of the golf team.
