WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. -- Bentley University junior
Egen
Ouellette (West Hartford, Conn./ Conard HS) was part
of two school records Sunday and senior Sam Laden
(Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire HS) was honored following the
meet as the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving
Association Championships concluded at the Upper Valley Aquatic
Center.
Bentley accumulated 555 points during the three-day meet,
finishing second out of 13 teams and 101 points behind
repeat-champion Keene State. The top five also included Roger

Ouellette broke his own school record in the 100 yard freestyle

event. He also anchored Bentley's 400 free relay, which
finished second in 3:12.81, a school record by 1.11 seconds. That
quartet also included Laden, classmate Willie
Connolly (Washington, Conn./Shepaug Valley HS) and
sophomore Joe
Frantel (Canandaigua, N.Y./Marcus Whitman HS).
Laden was recognized as the Male Senior Swimmer with the most
career points in the meet. He and Connolly also had second-place
finishes during the meet's final day, in the 200 breaststroke
(2:10.19) and 50 backstroke (24.85), respectively.

the 100 individual medley (55.47) and the Falcons also had two
fourths, freshman Tyler

17:15.86, and Ryan's was in the 50 back (25.21).
