WORCESTER, Mass. – Daniel Lehr set a school record, and
Leighton Wielgoszinski claimed another medal during the second day of the Northeast-10 Men's Swimming & Diving Championship Friday. The four-day championship is being held at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Wielgoszinski earned bronze in the 500-freestyle, timing in at 4:39.30. He finished less than three seconds behind first place. Wielgoszinski previously won silver in the 1,000-freestyle during the opening day of the NE10 Championship.
Bentley's 400-medley relay team set a school record while placing third in the finals race Friday. Lehr,
Kenneth Ryu,
Daniel Ivanchikov, and
Tyler Marzano teamed up for a program-best time of 3:23.56. Lehr set a school record in the 100-backstroke during the relay, posting a time of 50.82 seconds. Â
The 200 free relay team took bronze, with the team of
Calvin Ye, Lehr, Marzano and
Ethan Rehkopf swimming a combined 1:23.25 to take third place by over two seconds.
With 265 points, Bentley is in third place in the NE10 Championship standings. The Falcons have 265 points, and first-place Southern Connecticut has 341 points. Adelphi is in second place with 306 points.Â
