WORCESTER, Mass. – Bentley's 400 medley relay team won bronze on the second night of the Northeast 10 men's swimming and diving championships on Friday.
The team of Matt Walden,
Thomas Miele,
Daniel Ivanchikov and
Ethan Rehkopf finished in 3:21.81 to claim the bronze medal.
The 200 free relay team missed out on the bronze medal by a mere .05 seconds to Southern Connecticut. The team of
Jack Meekins, Danny Lehr, Ivanchikov and Rehkopf swam valiantly but were just edged out by the Owls.
Walden had the Falcons' best individual finish of the night, as he was fourth in the 200 IM.
In the 500 free,
Alex Kosel and
Leighton Wielgoszinski finished in 5
th and 6
th to earn points for the squad.
Rehkopf was 6
th in the 50 free.
Bentely is in second place as a team after two days of competition with 292 points. Bridgeport is in first with 390 points.
