COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Saint Michael's women's tennis team improved to 9-2 overall and 7-1 in the Northeast-10 with an 8-1 victory over Bentley University at the Tarrant Recreation Center in Colchester, Vt., Sunday afternoon.
Bentley's point came in the doubles competition, with senior Cheryl Martin (Pittsfield, Mass./St. Joseph Central) and junior Brittany Harbert (Boxford, Mass./Masconomet) beating Emily Ogilvy and Alex Dalton 8-3 in the third-flight.
The loss is just the second in NE-10 competition for the Falcons, who fall to 6-2 and 6-8 overall. Their next match is Tuesday afternoon at home against AIC.
