Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

Morris celebrated on Senior Day, followed by Falcons beating Saint Anselm 4-3

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley women's tennis celebrated its lone senior Taylor Morris on Senior Day, then proceeded to defeat Saint Anselm 4-3 in a Northeast-10 match on Thursday afternoon.

Morris, a senior from North Haven, Connecticut is a computer information systems major and has been a member of the women's tennis program all four years at Bentley.

The match saw Bentley win the doubles point for a 1-0 lead. In singles, they won in the No. 4-6 positions to clinch the match.

In the No. 2 doubles match, Natalia Ponsa and Jordan Narciso won in a 7-6 tiebreaker over Polina Makarenko and Camila Osante.

The No. 3 match was swept 6-0 by Anika Shaikh and Martina Belvedere to clinch the doubles point for the Falcons.

In singles, Narciso and Shaikh each won for their second victories of the day.

Narciso defeated Osante in No. 4, 6-2, 6-4 and Shaikh swept Claire Kochenbach, 6-0, 6-0.

The third singles victory was by Julie Madden, in the No. 5 match over Miriam Patterson, 6-1, 6-0.

Bentley will next play at Post University in a non-conference match on April 12.
