WALTHAM, Mass. – Sophomore Amanda Le (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS) posted a pair of individual victories and Bentley University dominated the diving events as the Falcons stayed undefeated with a 148-95 win over The College of Saint Rose in women's college swimming Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.
The victory boosted his year's squad to 6-0 and stretched the Falcons' dual winning streak to 17, dating back to the start of last season.
Le was the first to the wall in both the 200 yard individual medley and the 100 breaststroke, putting up times of 2:17.06 and 1:08.51, respectively. Those came after she helped Bentley open the meet with a winning performance in the 200 medley relay, combining with sophomore Amy Shin (Lancaster/Nashoba Reg. HS) and juniors Jessica Hodsdon (Brewer, Maine/Brewer HS) and Monika Drogosz (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) for a time of 1:54.11.
Bentley captured a maximum 32 points in the two diving events, outscoring the visitors by 26. Junior Shelly D'Aleo (Enfield, Conn./Suffield Academy) took the one-meter with a point total of 251.92, and the three-meter went to freshman Paige Wilde (Naugatuck, Conn./Holy Cross HS), with a 234.37.
Bentley's other winners were Hodsdon in the 100 butterfly (1:01.28), Shin in the 50 freestyle (25.94) and freshman Nadine Edwards (Danbury, Conn./Danbury HS) in the 100 free (55.75).
