WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Bentley University women's swimming and diving team won its 18th straight dual meet, and seventh of the season, by defeating Babson College 127-104 Wednesday night.
The Falcons won of eight the nine individual swim races, led by sophomore Kellen Power (San Jose, Calif./Valley Christian HS), who won the 200 yard freestyle and the 100 butterfly races. She took the 200 free in 1:59.48, and the 100 fly in 1:02.15.
Junior All-America Jessica Hodsdon (Brewer, Maine/Brewer HS) and freshmen Nadine Edwards (Danbury, Conn./Danbury HS) were also double-winners in swimming events. Edwards was first to the wall in the 1000 free (10:52.30) and the 100 free (55.96), and Hodsdon's victories came in the 50 free (25.52) and 100 breaststroke (1:09.40).
Sophomore Amanda Le (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) took the 200 individual medley in 2:19.40, almost four seconds better than her closest competitor, and classmate Heather Exley (Oceanside, Calif./Exley HS) swam to victory in the 500 free (5:27.98.
Freshman Paige Wilde (Naugatuck, Conn./Notre Dame HS) swept the two diving events, with scores of 236.55 from the one meter and 227.10 off the three-meter board.
Now 7-0 in dual meets this season, Bentley will host Keene State on Saturday in its final home meet of the year.
