Le & Mancini Shine, but Bentley Has Win Streak Halted by Keene State

KEENE, N.H. – Senior Amanda Le (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford HS) and sophomore All-America Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS) combined to win five events for Bentley University, but Keene State College captured the other 11 to post a 162-129 win over the Falcons in women's college swimming Saturday afternoon at Keene.

The loss snapped a seven-meet dual winning streak for the Falcons, dropping the team to 7-2 overall.

Le tripled for the third straight meet, posting winning scores of 1:08.99 in the 100 yard breaststroke, a season-best 2:27.66 in the 100 breast and 2:15.31 in the 200 individual medley. She also helped the Falcons take second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:56.86.

Bentley went 1-2-3 in both diving competitions with Mancini keeping her season-long winning streak intact. In the one meter, Mancini recorded a 253.10 and was followed by sophomore Courtney Stone (Andover, Mass./Andover HS) (224.90) and junior Paige Wilde (Naugatuck, Conn./Holy Cross HS) (222.75).

In the three-meter, Mancini had her second-best score of the year (304.60) with Wilde second (236.75) and Stone third (223.65).

Freshman Kaitlin McGahie (Boylston, Mass./Tahanto Reg. HS) picked up a second-place finish for the Falcons, completing the 50 freestyle in 25.93.

Next up for the Falcons is a dual at Babson College Wednesday at 6 pm.
