BROOKVILLE, N.Y. -- Junior Keliann Margiotta (Sewell, N.J.) added three goals to her conference-leading total as LIU Post, the fifth-ranked team in Division II, registered a 3-1 win over Bentley University in Northeast-10 Conference field hockey Sunday afternoon at Bethpage Stadium.

The hat trick was the fourth of the year for Margiotta, who now has 21 goals in 11 games this fall. She put her team in front at 7:03 of the first half and netted her second about ten-and-a-half minutes later.

Margiotta made it a 3-0 game ten minutes into the second half as she fired the ball into the bottom left corner of the cage.

Bentley got on the board with 10:10 left, junior Kelsey Howard (Scarborough, Maine/ Scarborough HS) scoring her third of the year off an assist from Claire Virkler (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa HS). It was the first career point for the freshman.

Sophomore Ericka Parks (Nesconset, N.Y.) made two saves for LIU Post (9-2, 5-1 NE-10) and junior Katie Kelley (Walpole, Mass./Walpole HS) had five stops for Bentley (6-6, 2-3 NE-10).

Bentley will return to action Wednesday at Franklin Pierce (4 pm).
