Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3

NEWARK, Del. – Junior Jaci Buscher (Lakewood, Colo./Green Mountain HS) had 20 kills and 26 digs, the program's first 20-20 performance since Lauren Washington a dozen years ago, as the Bentley University women's volleyball team pulled out a 3-2 victory over Dowling College to complete a 4-0 weekend at the Wilmington University Regional Invitational.

The 25-20, 21-25, 19-25, 25-19, 16-14 victory over the perennial regional power followed a 3-0 victory over Holy Family University earlier in the day.

In the decisive fifth set against Dowling, Bentley faced an 11-9 deficit before running off three straight points to reclaim the lead. With the score even at 14 (the eighth tie in the final set), Bentley grabbed the lead on the 19th kill of the match by senior Tatiana Froehlich (Newton/Newton North HS) and secured the victory on a shared block by junior Shelby Kreienberg (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon HS) and sophomore Ashley Latimer (Croton on Hudson, N.Y./Croton Harmon HS).

After falling behind 2-1 in the match, Bentley came storming back in the fourth, scoring the first six points to take a lead it would not relinquish.

Senior setter Alex Tator (Los Angeles, Calif./Marlborough School) finished with 44 assists and also had 17 digs.  Bentley totaled 103 digs, the first time it reached the century mark in a dozen years, and had five players reach double digits in that category. Senior Lauren Colasanti (Northville, Mich./Northville HS) had 21, classmate Jessica Segal (West Harrison, N.Y./Harrison HS) finished with 14 and freshman Shannon Kelly (Hyde Park, N.Y./F.D. Roosevelt HS) helped out with 13. Senior Simona Silvera (Bolingbrook, Ill./ Bolingbrook HS) was also a factor in the victory, making six blocks.

In the 25-16, 25-21, 25-23 victory over Holy Family (2-7), Buscher and sophomore Lauren Van Buren (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa HS) both had seven kills to pace the Falcons. Colasanti recorded 21 digs, Segal matched her career-best with 16, and Tator had another double-double (31 assists, 12 digs).

Buscher, during the tournament, averaged 3.86 kills, 3.21 digs and 0.43 blocks. Also having productive weekends were Froehlich (3.54 kills), Colasanti (5.67 digs) and Tator (10.27 assists, 3.13 digs).

The 4-0 weekend evened Bentley's record at 4-4 on the season. The Falcons will launch their home and Northeast-10 schedule on Tuesday with a 7 pm match against Saint Anselm College.
