2 School Records, including Kaduboski in the 200 IM, among Bentley's Day 2 Highlights; Falcons Own Slim Lead

WORCESTER, Mass. – Day 2 of the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Championships concluded Friday night at WPI with the Bentley University Falcons owning a slim lead over both Assumption College and Southern Connecticut State.

The Falcons totaled 361 points during the first two days of competition and lead Assumption by 11. Southern Connecticut is third with 306.5.

Bentley's only day two gold medal was earned by senior Kate Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) in the 200 individual medley, an event she was the runner-up in the last two years. Her 2:04.75 broke the school record of 2:05.05 that she set in 2018 and was an NCAA "B" cut.

The Falcons also broke the school record in the 200 free relay while placing third. Freshman Lucy Slowe (Millis/Millis HS), sophomore Emily LaRovere (Lynnfield/Phillips Exeter Acad.), along with seniors Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/ Lubbock HS) and Hannah Rauch (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park HS), finished in 1:37.25. That replaced a 1:37.55, set in 2017, in the record book.

Bentley had three of the top five in both the 500 freestyle and the one-meter diving. In the 500, senior Brooke Jameson (Bedford/Bedford HS) was third (5:05.44), Rauch was fourth to touch (5:06.38) and Viator fifth (5:06.93).

In the diving, junior Caroline Logozzo (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield HS) and sophomore Ryann Driscoll (Marblehead/Marblehead HS) went to the podium as the second and third place finishers. Logozzo put up a score of 373.25, Driscoll posted a 368.00 and freshman Sarah Vojta (Morris Plains, N.J./ Morris County School of Technology) was fifth (324.60).

Bentley was fourth in the 400 medley relay with Kaduboski, senior Ari Revelas (Snyder, N.Y./ Nardin Academy), junior Paige MacNeil (Branford, Conn./Branford HS) and Slowe finishing in 3:57.53.

The championships will resume Saturday morning and run through Sunday evening.
