Box Score NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Bentley volleyball team had its winning streak snapped at 14 matches when the Falcons lost at New Haven, 3-1 (24-26, 25-13, 25-21, 25-16), Friday night. It was the program's longest winning streak since 2019 (16).
The Falcons took the first set against Chargers in dramatic fashion. New Haven held a 20-14 edge, but a kill by Elizabeth Blinn sparked an 8-2 run for the Falcons. With the set tied at 24, Rachel Vitko and Ellie Wheeler put away back-to-back kills to take the opening frame for the Falcons. The Chargers, however, won the next three sets.
Wheeler finished with a team-high 14 kills, and Vitko added 12. Natalie Thom came away with 25 assists.
Bentley next has a road match at Assumption Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m.
