Veloria Scores at No. 10 Franklin Pierce but Bentley Drops 3-1 Decision

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Logan Veloria gave Bentley a lead in the first half but No. 10 ranked Franklin Pierce scored three unanswered goals in a 3-1 non-conference decision on Tuesday night.

These teams are scheduled to play again with NE10 points on the line in the penultimate game of the regular season on Nov. 2 in Waltham.

Veloria, a freshman from Phoenix, scored his second goal in three matches in the 30th minute to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead.

The lead stood up into the second half, but the Ravens tied the score on a goal by Jonty Clarke in the 55th minute.

They scored the go-ahead goal in the 77th minute from Antonio Lampreia and notched their third in the 87th minute from Tiago Barriguinha.

Falcons goalkeeper Cam Hall made eight saves to match his season high.

Bentley is back in action on Saturday when they host Southern Connecticut at 12:00 pm for Senior Day.
