Johann Fraser and
Evan Levine scored to lift Bentley to a 2-1, Senior Day victory over Southern Connecticut State.
Fraser scored in the 5
th minute and Levine in the 59
th minute as the team improved to 5-0 at home this season.
Overall, the Falcons are now 6-3-2 and 3-2 in NE10 play.
Bentley took an early 1-0 lead on Fraser's 4
th goal of the season.
Daimon Pollard set the goal up after he gained possession in midfield and dribbled down the right wing past an Owls defender. He sent a low cross into the six-yard box that Fraser met and volleyed in for the goal.
The Falcons then made it 2-0 when Levine scored his 5
th of the year in the 59
th minute.
About 35 yards out from goal,
Antonio Santos lofted a ball over the SCSU defense and into the penalty area. Levine ran onto it and beat the SCSU keeper to the near post from eight yards away for the goal.
Just 30 seconds later the Owls pulled a goal back after a goal by Jake Novoshelski to make it a 2-1 game. But Bentley maintained the lead over the final 30 minutes for the victory.
The Falcons are next in action on Wednesday when they host AIC at 3:00 PM.
