WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley improved to 4-1 in dual meets on the season with a 151-135 victory over Keene State on Sunday at the Dana Center pool.
Skyla Lang won two races in two different disciplines, the 100 breaststroke and the 100 free.
All-American diver
Hilla Almog continued to dominate the diving events with a sweep of both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. She scored 286.43 in the 1-meter and 278.85 in the 3-meter.
Lang helped the Falcons get off to a strong start as they won the 200 medley relay.
Taylor White swam the leadoff leg, followed by Lang,
Jordan Nuzback and
Sophia Wong with a time of 1:53.92.
The next event saw freshman
Cara Schwacke touch first in the 1000 free with a time of 11:48.50.
White came back and won her next event, the 200 free, with a time of 2:02.14.
Madison Capria came second at 2:03.39.
Lang won the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.01, followed by Bella Montanari in second at 1:10.80.
Caroline Ubert was third for an all-Falcons top-three in that event.
Lily Rice cruised to a win in the 200 fly. Her time of 2:15.49 won the race by almost seven seconds.
Senior
Madison Capria won a thrilling 50 free race, as she touched first by .07 seconds over Keene State's Tallulah Going.
Lang's second victory over the day came in the 100 free in 55.48, almost two seconds better than Rory Lee of Keene State.
Nuzback was victorious in the 200 back in 2:19.05 and Montanari dominated the 200 breaststroke, as her time of 2:34.95 won the race by almost eight seconds.
Bentley will next be in action Dec. 6-8 at the WPI Gompei Invitational to close out the fall semester.
