COLCHESTER, Vt. – Bentley fell on the road to Saint Michael's 2-0 on Wednesday night in the final match of the regular season. The Falcons qualified for the NE10 Championship and will play a quarterfinal match on the road on Saturday.
The teams battled for 80-plus minutes in a scoreless draw, but the Purple Knights broke through with a goal by Ronnie Riby-Williams in the 82
nd minute.
A little over three minutes later, Saint Michael's doubled its lead on a goal by Alessandro Pescina.
Falcons goalkeeper
Cam Hall made seven saves on the night as Saint Michael's held the advantage in both total shots and shots on target.
Bentley finished the regular season at 7-5-4 overall and 4-4-1 in the NE10 for 13 points.
Their opponent for Saturday's quarterfinal match will be determined later tonight.
