WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore Skyla Lang took third place in the 200 IM to highlight Bentley on day one of the WPI Gompei Invitational.

Lang's time was 2:08.87, her fastest of the season so far in that event.

She was also fifth in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:24.87, also a season best for her.

Lily Rice was first in the B final of the 100 fly with a time of 59.19.

The Falcons were seventh in the 200 medley relay and eighth in the 800 free relay.

The meet uses combined scoring for the men and women and the Falcons ended day one in third place with 1,419 points.

The meet continues on Saturday and concludes on Sunday.
