Box Score ERIE, Pa. - Bentley earned two points in the Atlantic Hockey standings by defeating Mercyhurst in a shootout 2-0, after the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
The Falcons earned five points from their trip to Erie after winning the first game of the series 4-2 on Friday night.
They closed out the first half of the season with a 9-2-1 AHA record and 10-5-2 overall.

Connor Hasley stopped Mercyhurst's first attempt by Steven Agriogianis.
Ryan Mansfield then gave Bentley a 1-0 lead with a goal. Hasley then denied the Lakers' Mickey Burns on their second round attempt. That set up
A.J. Hodges with a chance to win it for the Falcons, and he didn't miss to give his team the shootout win and an extra point in the standings.

Sam Duerr's 5
th goal of the season at 6:45 of the first period. The goal came off a rush into the offensive zone and
Nik Armstrong-Kingkade had the puck on the right wing. Duerr trailed the play and as he entered the offensive zone Armstrong-Kingkade spotted him for the pass. Duerr then took a couple of strides and fired a shot top shelf for the goal.
Mercyhurst tied the game on a goal at 5:13 of the 2
nd period off the stick of Agriogianis.
But with just 1:44 left in the 2
nd frame, the Falcons took the lead back on defenseman
Tucker Hodgson's second goal of the year.
Armstrong-Kingkade had a shot on goal from close range that drew a save from Lakers netminder Carter McPhail. Armstrong-Kingkade kept the play alive and the puck in the offensive zone before it found its way to Hodgson near the blue line. Hodgson passed down low to Armstrong-Kingkade who quickly passed back to Hodgson as he drove in on net, and Hodgson fired a shot from the left faceoff circle for the goal.
The Lakers tied the game with 5:44 remaining on a goal by Riley Fitzgerald to make it 2-2.
