WORCESTER, Mass. – The Bentley women's swimming and diving squad put in a strong performance on the final day of the WPI Gompei Invitational to help the Falcons women and men's teams to a combined third place finish.
As a team, the women and men scored 4468.5 points over the three days to take third place.
Bryant University was the winner and WPI was second.
Hilla Almog began the day by winning the 1 meter diving event with a score of 478.55. The 2024 All-American also won the 3 meter dive with a score of 464.75
Taylor White won the B finals of the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:09.61.
The Falcons went 1-2-3 in the C finals of that event, which was won by
Sarah Griffith. She was followed by
Claudia Walker and
Ashlee Favata.
Skyla Lang placed third in the 100 IM with a time of 59.75.
Jordan Nuzback was also in the A final of that event.
Lily Rice was sixth in the A final of the 200 fly with a time of 2:11.25.
Caroline Ubert won the B final of that race in 2:12.84.
The final event of the meet was the mixed 400 free relay and Bentley teams placed fourth and fifth.
The fourth place team consisted of Bella Montanari, Nuzback, Danny Lehr and Ethan Rehkopf.
In fifth was
Madison Capria,
Taylor White, Jakub Zukowski and Casey Whittaker.
This was the final meet of the fall semester. The teams will be back in action on Jan. 12 against Saint Michael's at the Dana Center.
