WALTHAM, Mass. – Rachel Vitko served up a career-high eight aces as the Bentley volleyball team cruised past Franklin Pierce, 3-0 (25-7, 25-17, 25-13), Friday night. Bentley hosted its annual Dig Lavender event in remembrance of the late Sandy Hoffman, Bentley's Hall of Fame coach.
As a team, the Falcons dished out 15 aces – the most in a single match since Bentley had 18 against Dominican (N.Y.) in the 2023 season opener. The Falcons also totaled 15 aces in a match against Saint Anselm last year.
Elizabeth Blinn had a match-high nine kills against the Ravens, and
Tory Vitko led all players in assists with 17.
The Falcons pushed their winning streak to nine matches. Of those nine wins, five have been decided in three sets.
Bentley gets a little bit of rest before competing at Southern New Hampshire, Oct. 4.
