Ivanchikov wins three individual races during first meet of season

NORTON, Mass. – Daniel Ivanchikov won three individual races in the Bentley men's swimming & diving team's first meet of the year Friday. The Falcons were part of a tri-meet at Wheaton, with Wellesley.

Results

Ivanchikov won the 200-freestyle by timing in at 1:46.20. Ivanchikov was also first in the 200-butterfly with a time of 1:59.21. Brian Garvey was second in that event by finishing in 2:06.09. Ivanchikov's third win was in the 100-butterfly with a time of 52.16 seconds.

Leighton Wielgoszinski won the 1,000-freesytle by touching the wall in 10:15.90. He also won the 500-freestyle with a time of 4:55.27.

Matthew Walden's time in the 200-backstroke was 1:59.24 – good for first place. Walden also won the 200-IM with a time of 2:03.18.

Owen Angkatavanich's score in the 1-m dive was 218.85. His 3-m dive score was 197.50.

Bentley makes its home debut against Assumption, Nov. 2.
