WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley men's swimming and diving won its home opener at the Dana Center on Sunday by a 124-47 score over Assumption.
The Falcons won seven of the nine individual races, both relays and the diving events.
The meet began with the team of Matt Walden,
Thomas Miele, Zach Ellis and
Ethan Rehkopf winning the 200 medley relay in 1:38.60.
Leighton Wielgoszinski won the 1000 free by more than 51 seconds with a time of 10:05.58.
Freshman Alex Kosel took the 200 free in 1:49.32 in a race that Bentley had the top-four finishers.
Rehkopf won the 50 free by .23 seconds with a time of 21.98 and he also won the 100 free in 48.98.
Walden won the 200 IM (2:01.85) and Ellis the 100 fly (53.06).
Daniel Ivanchikov touched first in the 100 back with a time of 53.20.
In the diving events
Owen Angkatavanich scored 210.07 in the 3 meter and 253.41 in the 1 meter.
Bentley, now 2-0 on the season, next takes on Brandeis on Friday.
